Johnson wedding

This wedding was something special to me, in many aspects of it. The day my long time child hood friend messaged me about wedding information, I was so excited. I added her to my wedding group (where my complete portfolio is) and she loved my work. Told me she would show her fiance and get back to me. Well few days later she let me know that he too loved my work and they wanted me to shoot their wedding. To say I was excited is beyond words! Kimmy was a long time friend. We grew up together and basically lived at each others homes. I remember playing with her toy horses in her room and still to this day she is an avid horse lover. So to hear she wanted their horses to be a part of her big day was so much fun! We continued our conversations and planning and i found out the venue. I was excited to hear it was at The Barn at Kennedy Farms. For those of you who don't know of the place it is a very beautiful barn venue.

When i arrived to the wedding it was so beautiful! Their horses out and enjoying the day. The groom and groomsman were all ready and waiting for guests to arrive. I went up to the brides area and was amazed at how beautiful the room was and also how beautiful Kimmy looked! The balcony was perfect for a photo opportunity.

The ceremony was beautiful! Im so greatful I got to be a part of their special day! There were a few surprises she had up her sleeve for her new in laws. It was definitely a tear jerker!

The first look is something that is always magical. You can just feel the love in this single image. There was not a dry eye at the ceremony after this.

First dance as husband and wife! It was just so beautiful inside the barn.

Father daughter dance, but it didn't end here! oh no!!! Here was one of the surprises she had up her sleeve! Dad was joking with her that they should toss the softball for a few since she has grown up playing the sport. She told him no and well then surprised him by bringing their gloves and ball!

Here is the big surprise for her new in laws. As the groom was a child he lost his brother in an accident and she wanted a way for him and his parents to remember him by on their special day. So paper lanterns were lit and sent in the sky as they remember him. I can't even type this with out tearing up. It was a very special moment and I'm so glad that I got to be a part of a day they will never forget!
